The Kia ora Addington project seeks to build upon our community's strengths, fostering a hive of activity and connection.
“Kia ora Addington” is a project that was birthed out of a hui in 2022 about community safety and wellbeing. Over the past 12 months, locals have come together to dream about how we could grow more opportunities for positive activities, connection and belonging in Addington.
We identified that there were a lot of barriers stopping some people from starting the positive activities that they cared about. Our focus became: let’s remove those barriers and create a ‘support platform,’ a group of people who can help turn ideas into action.
